Description
Emery & Sons Construction was awarded a contract by the City of Sherwood to be the general contractor for the construction of a partially buried 4.0 million gallon prestressed concrete reservoir, a water booster pump station, a 48 diameter welded steel pipeline and associated appurtenances at the City of Sherwood Snyder Park site. This project also included the installation of water transmission lines and storm drainage piping, construction of a reservoir overflow and storm water quality pond, construction of two lighted tennis courts, SCADA system improvements, storm drainage, landscaping, and other miscellaneous site work. The work also included half-street improvements on SW Division Street adjacent to the reservoir site including sanitary sewer and storm water facilities, road widening, regrading, pavement resurfacing, sidewalks, street trees and a retaining wall. Description
Construction of a new 240 x 100 x 15 2MG Clearwell with 20,000+ CY of mass excavation and a under slab drainage system with complete groundwater pump station. This project includes 200+ LF of 42 DI pipe with associated valves and fittings and three separate tie-ins to existing concrete clearwells. Two of these tie-ins were25+ deep and extended up to 17 LF under the existing structures. This work required positive pressure shoring outside of the structures and sacrificial shoring which was poured in reinforced concrete encasements under the structures. A 42 DI cut in tee in excess of 20 deep was required under Hunter Ave. adjacent to the new clearwell. Part of this run included a 96 metering manhole at the same depth. Other activities on this project included 12 storm drain piping, 48 and 60 storm drain manholes, catch basins, electrical work, complete site restoration and landscaping.
